What is 3D Printing?

Types of 3D Printing

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) - strand of thermoplastic is melted and deposited layer by layer, sometimes referrred to as FFF (see above)


Stereolithography Apparatus (SLA) - a curable photopolymer, usually a liquid resin, is hardened by applying a light projector (or focused light or UV light) in a process called curing


Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) - laser is used to sinter material - usually small particles or powders
