Library Facilities

The library is also home to an instructional lab to be used for library orientations and assignment based instruction sessions.  At times your instructor will schedule a session with a librarian and you will meet in the instructional lab in the library.  The instructional lab has 22 computer stations within, with room for others to observe. Each machine is equipped with standard Microsoft Office products and relative software for the college’s courses. Occasionally, the library, as well as, other college departments will hold other sessions in the instructional lab. Note that only faculty and staff members are able to book the instruction lab.

The library has a conference room available for student and faculty use. The conference room will comfortably seat 8 persons around the oblong conference table. There is also a 32” flat screen tv that may be connected to a laptop for projection of presentations, etc. The conference room may be booked by using the LibCal feature for scheduling rooms in the library.

The library’s upstairs area has been designated as a Reading Lab. In addition to a lovely view of the campus, the Reading Lab offers an area for quiet study and reflection. The library’s magazine and journal subscriptions are also housed in this area and may be utilized for leisurely reading or research purposes. Additionally, there are several computers located on the second floor for student use. The upstairs Reading Lab may be accessed by using the stairs for taking the elevator.
