Your RCC I.D. doubles as your library card!
Please use our online form to apply for your RCC ID card.
ID cards will only be made for registered students who have paid for their courses.
Per campus security, all head wear (headwear and/or facial scarves, etc.) must be removed for ID photos. Exceptions can be made with special permission for cultural or religious reasons.
Images uploaded must be taken in front of a solid-colored background (preferably white).
Photos must be taken without the use of filters.
All students will need an ID card for access to the bookstore, to circulate library materials, and before they can be issued a parking permit.
All ID cards will be valid for two years after the issue date.
A $5.00 charge will apply to cards reprinted to students for lost, damaged, or stolen cards. This fee is paid at the RCC Business Office (cashier window) in Building 2, and students must show proof of payment in order for the library to make a new ID card.
As we face the current pandemic as a College, the RCC Library Team wants students, staff, and faculty to know that we are still here to serve you.
There are three ways to access the Library’s learning resources online:
OneSearch: Search across all of the Library’s holdings using the OneSearch feature (see search box above)
A-Z Databases Listing: Access individual databases (including NC LIVE)
Research Guides: The Library Team points users to the best databases for every program area and/or topic
Off campus? RCC students, faculty, and staff can use their RCC network accounts to gain seamless access to the library’s e-resources. When you click on a resource from the RCC Library’s website, users will be taken to a landing page where you will type in your credentials. Remember to input your full email address on the top, and then your RCC network password.
If you have questions or need additional assistance, you have three options:
1) Chat with a librarian now; or
2) Email an RCC librarian at library@robeson.edu; or
3) Call the RCC Library at (910) 272-3327.
PaperCut
Enrolled RCC students will receive a $15.00 allotment in the fall and spring semesters, respectively, and they will receive a $10.00 allotment during the summer semester. PaperCut funds will be available on the first day of the semester, or within 24 hours after a student's late registration date, as their PaperCut accounts will be created overnight. Thereafter, students will be able to add funds to their accounts in order to print additional pages as needed.
If a student's PaperCut allotments go unused, they will disappear at the end of the semester and will not transfer to the next semester. However, any monies which students have added themselves to their PaperCut accounts, and which have not been used by the end of the semester, will carry over to the following semester.
Curriculum students will be able to print in black-and-white for ten (10) cents per copy. Note that this means that students will be charged for two copies (or 20 cents), if they choose double-sided printing.
Adding Funds to Your PaperCut Account
If a student's PaperCut account balance becomes low, and it is necessary to add funds, students will be able to add funds online with a credit or debit card, or alternatively they can add cash amounts at the RCC Business Office (Building 2) from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Color Printing for Students
Simply select color from the print window. Color copies are twenty-five (25) cents each. Note that in the library, the smaller printer (on the right) is the only machine that will print in color.
Resolving Issues with Printing
Students may contact the I.T. Help Desk for assistance with issues related to printing, such as if you believe that there has been a printing malfunction. However, if a printing problem or issue occurs at the Anne Moss-Biggs Library, students should confer with the library’s director for a resolution. If necessary, and after reviewing each situation and making a case-by-case determination, the help desk technicians or the library director can make adjustments to a student’s PaperCut account. Finally, no cash refunds will be issued for any reason.
