Funeral Service Education

Funeral Services EducationThe Funeral Services Education program trains individuals to work with the public in their times of need. Funeral homes prepare bodies, sell caskets and other materials, arrange transportation, provide space for remembrance services, handle death certifications, and much more.

This program is offered at RCC through a partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College. You will complete your first two semesters at Robeson Community College, then finish your degree through Fayetteville Technical Community College.

In North Carolina, to become a funeral director or funeral service licensee, you must complete a funeral service program, pass a board exam, and complete an apprenticeship at a funeral home.
