Instruction Lab, Rm 422: Located off of the library’s main floor, the computer instructional lab boasts 22 desktop computers, classroom management Library Upstairs Reading Room software, sleek work areas, and a digital SMARTboard. Reading Room: The RCC Library contains a reading room on the upper level, which contains comfortable seating and easy access to current periodicals, as well as 6 additional desktop computers. It is a great place for those seeking a quiet place to study.Library FabLab, Room 426 Conference Room, Rm 410: The RCC Library’s conference room seats up to 8 people comfortably and is equipped with an HDMI-enabled television monitor, dry-erase board, and telephone (910) 272-3319. Group Study Room, Rm 409: Intended for student use, this room accommodates up to 6 people comfortable and is equipped with an HDMI-enabled television monitor and dry-erase board. FabLab, Rm 426: Intended for RCC students, staff, and faculty. Only two users are permitted to use the room at one time. Users must indicate which equipment they plan to make use of when they fill out the associated booking form. In the event that a piece of equipment is not operational, the library staff will attempt to contact users who have previously made reservations; however, this courtesy is not guaranteed. The library’s second floor has been designated as a quiet study area. In addition to a lovely view of the campus, the Upstairs Reading Room offers an area perfect for contemplation and reflection. The upstairs Reading Lab may be accessed by using the stairs or by taking the elevator.
The FabLab in the Anne Moss-Biggs Library contains a variety of creative and publishing equipment. See the FabLab research guide for details on the equipment and services available. Use of the FabLab is limited to current RCC students, staff, and faculty with valid RCC I.D. Cards.
